APSCA welcomes Laura Wittman to its Board of Directors

​The Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Wittman of New Balance to its Board of Directors as Brand and Retailer Representative.

Her appointment was confirmed by the Board on 23 June 2026, following her nomination by APSCA’s Stakeholder Advisory Board. She will serve the remainder of the current term, through June 2028. ​This appointment further reinforces APSCA’s commitment to a balanced, multi-stakeholder governance model.

APSCA’s Stakeholder Advisory Board plays a central role in ensuring that the brand and retailer community is represented in APSCA’s governance. Laura’s nomination reflects the depth of expertise within this group and highlights the importance of integrating brand perspectives in shaping the standards that guide the profession.

About Laura

 
Laura Wittman is Vice President, Responsible Leadership at New Balance Athletics, Inc., where she leads the company’s corporate responsibility and sustainability functions. In this role, she oversees a global team of 27 across five countries, focused on labor rights, health and safety, the well-being of supply chain workers, and corporate and supply chain environmental strategy.
 
Before joining New Balance, Laura spent more than 25 years in the apparel and footwear sector, designing and aligning corporate responsibility, ESG, and sustainability initiatives with business priorities. Most recently, she spent six years at Global Brands Group as Senior Vice President, Social and Environmental Affairs, where she developed and evolved supply chain reputational risk management programs that supported business decision-making and mitigated social, labor, and environmental risk.
 
Laura graduated from James Madison University with a degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). She served as chair of the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) Social Responsibility Committee for 14 years, stepping down in 2023.
 
Laura joins a multi-stakeholder Board representing brands, retailers, Member Firms, industry experts, and key partners.
